Epcot is a gift to be slowly opened and enjoyed. Give yourself permission to leisurely stroll around the various lands in this park.

When I went to Epcot for the first time as a young kid, it was a very different park. It was even less kid oriented than it is today. However, I was in awe of all of the amazing attractions and different countries that you could walk around in.

Give yourself time to learn, discover, and interact with the cast members that make this park so special.

World Celebration

This is the home of new experiences that connect us to one another and the world around us. It includes the park's revised main entrance and Spaceship Earth.

Just beyond Spaceship Earth is the World Celebration Center Gardens and Dreamer's Point, which includes a statue of Walt Disney envisioning Epcot, his greatest dream. You can also enjoy Mickey & Friends, a character meet-and-greet experience to visit your favorite Disney pals.

World Celebration also includes the fan-favorite Imagination Pavilion, home to the attraction Journey Into Imagination with Figment, a lovable purple dragon.

World Nature

World Nature is dedicated to understanding and preserving the beauty, awe, and balance of the natural world. The western side of the park contains two major pavilions - The Land and The Seas. Each pavilion is home to some of Epcot's best attractions. The Seas with Nemo and Friends and Soarin' (a longtime favorite).

You'll also find Journey of Water, Epcot's newest walk-through attraction, featuring water effects inspired by Moana.

World Discovery

The eastern side of the park hosts several major thrill attractions that feature "stories about space, science, technology, and intergalactic adventure", including Test Track, Mission: Space, and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.

World Showcase

World Showcase is one of our favorite areas of Walt Disney World, with its celebration of culture, cuisine, architecture, and traditions.

To get the most out of this park, it is important to plan to spend time exploring and savoring. It is not an area to rush from attraction to attraction or food booth to food booth. Talk to the cast members, find the details, and enjoy the hidden exhibits.

So many people with young children want to skip Epcot thinking that there is not enough to entertain their young children. This couldn't be further from the truth.

Trip Tip - Here are 5 Reasons Why You Shouldn't Skip Epcot with Kids:

  • Newer attractions in the World Showcase, such as Frozen Ever After and Remy's Ratatouille Adventure, relate directly to the movies and appeal to kids.

  • The aquarium in The Seas with Nemo & Friends is the 2nd largest aquarium in the whole United States!

  • Kids love the "Kidcot" stations at World Showcase where they can get their "passport" stamped at every country.

  • There are several interactive areas such as Journey of Water, ImageWorks, and Bruce's Shark World.

  • Kids can meet characters in unique locations such as Belle in France and Mulan in China.

World Showcase Attractions

The World Showcase is "a celebration of culture, cuisine, architecture, and traditions - infused with new magic." Some of the attractions include: Frozen Ever After, Fiesta Tour, and Remy's Ratatouille Adventure.

You will also love Luminous: The Symphony of Us - Epcot's newest fireworks spectacular. Watch as the World Showcase Lagoon comes to life with dazzling fireworks set to the incredible musical scores that unite us all.

These are just highlights of each of the lands. For descriptions of all attractions at Epcot, visit our mini-website here.
